Russell, Meers & Gill are in the fast lane when it comes to getting their name out there, as the award-winning firm is continuing its support to a local motor sport enthusiast in his quest for glory.
Paul Jones, age 49, of Ockeridge, near Worcester, is a long-time client and competes with his striking orange Lotus Exige sports car in rounds of the Midland Hill Climb Championship at several national venues, including locally at the iconic and truly historic Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb.
The name of Russell, Meers & Gill is emblazoned on the rear wing of his Lotus competition car - which accelerates to 60 mph in under three seconds and can reach a top speed of over 100 miles per hour along the tight and demanding sprint and hill climb tracks – as well as adorning his race trailer and bespoke team wear clothing of his support crew.
Paul, who has had many class wins and recently came third overall in the highly competitive championship, said: “I am very grateful to Karen and her team for their continued support and hope that by having the company name exposed to fellow drivers and the hundreds of spectators who attend events, this will help to raise the profile of this very successful firm.”
Speed hill climbing entails individual drivers racing against the clock up narrow and highly technical tarmac courses, competing for the quickest time against cars of similar specification, divided into respective classes for classics, saloons, sports and racing cars.
Company proprietor, Karen Gill, added: “Having attended several events to watch Paul and his friends in action, I believe this really is a very exciting sport and also a great way for us to bring the company name to a whole host of new people and potential clients and we wish him every success for next season.”
